Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is the removal of excess skin and muscle as well as fat, usually from the upper and lower eyelids. Upper and lower blepharoplasty can be completed alone or in combination with other facial surgery procedures such as a facelift or brow lift.

During the procedure, an incision is made in the natural crease of your upper eyelid. This can extend up to the laugh line (crow's feet) area. Excess skin muscle and fat, if any, are cut away and the incision is closed with fine sutures. Or if the patient eyes looks skeletonized due to aging or weight loss, adding volume will give a younger look to the patient.
